This Boy Was 13 Years old
When The Vietnam War Started

ROBERT W TOPHAM Jr

MASSACHUSETTS
CPL COD I BN 26 MARINES

VIETNAM PH
OEC 28 1948 FEB 22 196

Seems like only yesterday,
doesn't it?

When there wasn't an endless war.

When a lot of kids were young.

And alive.

When a 13-year-old boy's
chances of dying in Vietnam were remote

Think about it.

We've been getting out of
Vietnam for years now.

Isn't it about time we got out?

Let's not sacrifice another American
life for a war we've already abandoned.

Let's not put off until tomorrow
what's costing lives today.

Think of all the men who never knew the answers

think of all those who never even cared

Still there are some who ask why

who want to know, who dare to try.

Every now and then we meet that kind of man

here he comes again and now he's gone.
